Is Bad Boys 5 Happening?

Bad Boys 5 has not been issued by the makers yet. Jerry Bruckheimer, one of the producers, had stated that it would depend on the fourth film’s collection. Given that it became a huge success, we can expect the studio to greenlight Bad Boys 5. Both Smith and Lawrence have expressed their interest in reprising their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett respectively.

They have also cleared that this time, they would want the younger lot to perform more of the stunts. It’s obviously because these actors are aging and performing dangerous stunts would not be good for their health. They want a story that would be interesting enough to warrant a sequel. Lawrence has also said that fans would decide if Bad Boys 5 should happen or not.

Conclusion

Bad Boys has been entertaining viewers with its slow-mo stunts and comedy since the mid-1990s. Over these decades, the franchise has evolved and has gone bigger. Barring Smith and Lawrence, almost every other cast member has also been replaced.
