At the crux of it, Bridgerton is about Lady Whistledown and her issues that have wowed Mayfair with gossip for three seasons now. In the previous season, Eloise Bridgerton learned that Lady Whistledown was none other than her best friend, Penelope Featherington, who is now to be wed to Colin Bridgerton. In Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 6, the narrative of the Regency era Carrie Bradshaw continues, and more is revealed.
In the previous episode, Cressida attempted to reveal that she was Lady Whistledown, shocking everyone around, and especially Eloise and Penelope who know the truth. Episode 6 continues with the journey with a mix of drama, romance, laughter, and everything that makes Bridgerton one of the most-watched series on Netflix.
Does Colin Bridgerton Know the Truth?
Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 6 has a lot more going on for itself as compared to the previous episode, and rightfully so. This part of the season is focused more on Lady Whistledown in relation to Penelope and her upcoming nuptials with Colin.
Penelope realizes, with Eloise’s help that she can either tell Colin the truth and risk losing him, or hide her identity and let go of the power and independence she felt whilst being Lady Whistledown.
While Penelope marinates in these thoughts, in hopes to discredit Cressida, the latter is summoned to by Queen after her father promises to ship her off to Whales. Now, as per the Queen’s instructions, Cressida must publish the next issue of Lady Whistledown, should she wish to collect her reward.
Now, this is where both drama and comedy come together in Bridgerton which makes it such a splendid watch after every episode.
While Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 6 has its eyes set on one main plot, there’s plenty more happening in Mayfair. Lady Danbury and her brother Marcus continue to remain cross with each other, and more about the reason is revealed in the episode.
Meanwhile, John Sterling and Francesca Bridgerton decide they want to be married, and while everyone is thrilled for the couple, Lady Bridgerton has her reservations, all because of the Queen.
And of course, everyone’s favorite couple – Colin and Penelope are happier than ever as Colin slides the most beautiful finger on his fiance’s finger. But not everything that glitters is gold, and that stands true for this relationship which has reached the anxious cliffhanger everyone has been waiting for.
Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 6 ends with Colin following Penelope as she attempts to publish a Lady Whistledown issue that could discredit Cressida, but at the same time, she has possibly been caught by her to-be-husband!
