Call the Midwife is a British television series in the period drama genre. It centers on some midwife nurses working in the 1950s and 1960s in the East End region of London. The series is based on the memoir Call the Midwife: A True Story of the East End in the 1950s written by Jennifer Worth. It premiered in 2012 on PBS and has had 13 seasons so far.

What Is Call the Midwife All About?

Call the Midwife tells the story of Jenny Lee and other midwives as well as nuns working in the Nonnatus House. All of them are shown working and helping their patients amid a health crisis. There is also an infestation of mold in her flat. Meanwhile, the Raise the Roof Campaign takes place and Nancy attends it. She goes to join it despite the advice of some of the midwives. We also see Fred teaching Trixie how to drive in a secretive manner.

She doesn’t tell her and the parents of Ayub about this. Later, Edna’s apartment gets free from molds where she shifts. In the end, we see her naming her son Nicholas, who was newly born.

What To Expect From Call the Midwife Season 13 Episode 3?

Call the Midwife Season 13 Episode 3 is directed by Jo Southwell with Sally Abbott penning the script. We can expect a lot of events to happen in it. The previous episode hinted that Violet is interested in becoming the Mayor of the Tower Hamlets so one can expect her to finally run for it.

Sahira is another interesting character on whom the episode might focus. Meanwhile, the main focus will be on the midwives in the upcoming episode as well since they try to help more women during childbirth.
