Dark Matter on Apple TV+ is nearing its end as it has reached Episode 7 and the narrative has finally picked the pace, making things a lot more interesting when it comes to the lives of Jason 1 and Jason 2. If those two terms have confused you, we highly recommend reading our reviews of the previous episodes because there will be some major spoilers ahead!
Dark Matter Episode 7 has been the best episode of the series so far, and we have no doubt that things will only get more interesting from here because Jason 1 has finally figured out the secret ingredient and managed to enter his original universe.
However, this is only the beginning of the end, and there’s plenty to unpack in this particular episode, so make sure you stick around till the end!
What’s Next for Jason 1 and Jason 2?
Dark Matter Episode 7 showed equal parts of the lives of Jason 1 and Jason 2, and we continue to realize that they couldn’t be more different. Jason 2’s villain arc continues as he easily lies about Ryan to the detective who showed up at their doorstep, whilst also lying to Daniela about…well, everything at this point. While Jason 2 struggles to keep up with his lies, Jason 1 is on a different path altogether.
Amanda and Jason 1 don’t have many ampoules left, despite which Amanda insists they go to a universe together. This universe has probably been the best one so far, and viewers soon realize that it is time for Amanda and Jason 1 to bid goodbye to each other.
Amanda, for a change, chooses herself and decides to stay back and Jason 1 decides that he must continue to find his family, no matter what it takes. This moment was a tear-jerker, but enough hints showed this wasn’t the end for Amanda and Jason 1.
But it’s to wipe those tears away because the plot has thickened. Jason 2 begins to panic when he realizes that Ryan’s disappearance might get him in trouble, so he decides to break the seal to the box, go to a different universe, and bring Ryan back, hoping to cover his tracks. It is unsure how he will possibly pull it all off, but Jason 2 has bigger things to worry about.
Jason 1 is now alone with his thoughts, with only a few ampoules left, and it is now or never. He begins to picture some of his most important moments with Daniela, and as luck would have it, he is back to his original universe.
Now, all Jason 1 has to do is get rid of Jason 2, and so he finds himself attempting to buy a weapon, of course, this happens after he visits his house and looks through the window to catch a glimpse of Daniela, and then prepares to put an end to it all.

Conclusion
