Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly’s mind-bending series, Dark Matter, based on a novel by Blake Crouch is soon coming to an end, and there’s much to look forward to in this season finale. The penultimate episode of the series, aka Episode 8 was one of the most action-packed episodes so far and also the death of a few Jasons, but the two that live are Jason 1 and Jason 2, the protagonists we have seen since the first episode.
At first, Dark Matter felt a little too slow-paced, but now that things have picked up, we almost don’t want it to end. What Happened in Dark Matter Episode 8?
Admittedly, Dark Matter Episode 8 was a little confusing to begin with, but as it picked up its pace, things got interesting and shocking at every turn of the episode. Not only has Jason 1 returned to his universe, but so have other versions of this character, and Jason 2 does whatever it takes to keep them away from Daniela and Charlie, and that includes killing them. Of course, our beloved protagonist, the real one, Jason 1 stays safe.
In fact, we finally witness Jason 1 reunite with Daniela, and given the time crunch, it doesn’t take him long to convince that the Jason she has been living with is not the real one. Daniela and Charlie manage to escape Jason 2, even though for many moments the audience is convinced that things are going south with no hope, but the Dessen family is finally together.
However, this clearly isn’t their happy ending, not yet, which brings us to the finale of Dark Matter.
What Can You Expect from Dark Matter Episode 9?
Dark Matter Episode 9, aka the series finale, is bound to take it up a notch when compared to the previous episode because it is for Jason 1 and Jason 2 to confront one another finally, but only this time, Jason 1 will have his family with him. However, is that enough?
In the previous episodes, it has often been revealed that Jason 2 lacks morals and will stop at nothing to achieve what he wants, even if it costs someone else’s life.
The series finale will truly be one of a kind because this time Jason 1, Daniela and Charlie are all going to be in grave danger, and it is possible that people who weren’t in the previous episode might make a comeback. Could Amanda return for the season finale to be the person who saves the Dessen family? Only time will tell.
