So, instead of running away like she actually planned, she decides to make her way back to her team and of course, Cole Davis. Kelly tells Cole the entire truth, including Project Artemis, which leaves Cole devasted. Despite that, the two come together to try and prevent the fake footage from being aired.

Kelly’s assistant, Cole, and two people working at NASA under Cole were all it took to switch and rewire the camera that had been attached to the space shuttle. After the take-off, for the longest time, the characters are unsure of whether or not the footage they’re seeing is real or fake, but all it takes is a black cat to save the day.

What could have been a disaster for the whole country was instead a successful moon landing in Fly Me to the Moon, leaving a relieved and impressed Moe, who asks Kelly to shred any and all documents related to Project Artemis.

Ultimately, this was a rom-com to its very core, which meant Cole and Kelly do have their happy ending. Kelly reveals her real name, Winnie, and she and Cole share a very real kiss at the end of Fly Me to the Moon.
