Apple TV+’s mini-series, Land of Women, has come to an end with Episode 6, and while the entire series had picked a rather slow pace to progress, the season finale does not hold back, and it completely works in its favor.
Once again, Eva Longoria was the star of the show, and rightfully so, but plenty of credit also goes to the writers and other cast members.
While we expected a happy ending in Land of Women, in some ways that’s exactly what happened, but in other ways, questions were raised. So if you were a little confused towards the end of the series, we’re here to dive a little deeper into the ending, so make sure you stick around. There will be spoilers ahead!
Does Gala Leave Fred or Amat?
Land of Women episode 6 primarily revolved around Gala’s decision. She could either leave with her husband, start fresh in a different country with a new identity, or continue living her life in the small town where she had already established relationships and also a career of sorts. While this decision was easy for the viewers, it wasn’t the same for Gala.
We witness Gala struggle until she finally gets a break from Tony’s hitmen, and decides to leave town with Fred and meet him at the cruise with their fake passports. Neither Kate nor Julia is thrilled with his decision, and Julia decides to stay back, eager to spend the remaining days of her life with her sister.
Meanwhile, Amat, begrudgingly so drives Kate and Gala to the port, and as soon as Gala says goodbye to Amat, she realizes that she doesn’t want to leave. And so, she comes up with a plan. A mini-heist of sorts, where she takes from Fred, and lets him know, in her own way, that she can take care of herself.
After a successful heist, leaving a shocked and devastated Fred behind, Gala and Kate leave the ship, reunite with Amat, and head back into town. However, the story doesn’t end here.
Land of Women episode 6, aka the season finale, has a few more surprises. For starters, Julia refuses to find out who Gala’s father really is, even though the DNA test results are right in front of her. Meanwhile, Amat finds out that the woman he had been sleeping with, is possibly pregnant.
Finally, Amat and Gala hit a little something on their way back home, and as they step out, they find a dead Kevin, one of Tony’s hitmen. The screen goes black and this episode ends, but this can only mean that there is Land of Women Season 2 in the works!
