Returning home, Mi-Jin’s double life as Lim Sun keeps blending with her obligations and self-discoveries. When she finds missing material in the case files she unintentionally obtained from Ji-Woong’s mother, concerns are raised.

After understanding the importance of the files, Ji-Woong seeks clarification from a detective and begins to solve more intricate puzzles related to the case.

In the meantime, Lim Sun wins the Brave Intern Award in acknowledgement of her bravery during Ko Won’s incident. The arrival of Baek Cheol-Gyu, a new senior intern, further intrigues the dynamics of the hospital.

Concurrently, Ga-Yeong discovers unanticipated connections between her mother and the celebrity and becomes involved in Ko Won’s gratitude, receiving gifts.

In the unfolding drama of “Miss Night and Day,” Ga-Yeong’s scepticism reaches a peak when she confronts Lim Sun, dismissing her dual identity as a scam. Ga-Yeong, frustrated and unable to comprehend Mi-Jin’s strange circumstances, is told to wait until dusk to see the change for herself.

Startled by what she sees, Ga-Yeong grudgingly acknowledges the truth and helps Mi-Jin find a solution to the cat-related problem.

Plot Threads

Confronting Ko Won in the meanwhile, Lim Sun returns his gifts and declines to accept any more. She grants Ko Won’s request to have coffee brought to her every day until his duty ends, even though she first refuses. The emphasis switches to Ji-Woong, who confronts the person who carried out the acid attack and exposes his evil intentions regarding Ko Won.

Later in “Miss Night and Day”, Ko Won has a panic attack because she believes someone wearing a mask is the culprit. When Lim Sun steps in, he is first welcomed with hostility but is soon calmed down by vitamins and candy.

Ko Won appreciates Lim Sun’s ability to calm him down as he heals and finds comfort in her company.

In response to Ji-Woong returning her headphones, Lim Sun praises her and exchanges candy. Ji-Woong runs into unusual situations, beginning with a humiliating meeting with an uncooperative office helper who quits after receiving his criticism.

The deputy director becomes enraged by his insensitive handling of the incident, highlighting the tensions in the office that are made worse by understaffing.

As he discovers that the victim of a recent case might have been alive during her ordeal—a parallel to a terrible recollection of his late mother—Ji-Woong’s research takes a personal turn.

When Ji-Woong’s investigation into a suspicious person connected to the crime proves fruitless, he pays Mi-Jin a visit, where their uncomfortable conversation about the case takes place in front of her parents.

How Is The Episode Overall?

Mi-Jin is uncomfortable, but she thinks back on important facts, including the killer’s unique smell, in an attempt to remember them for the inquiry. The next day, much to Ji-Woong’s dismay, Lim Sun—who had been passing for Mi-Jin during the day—is reassigned as his office assistant.

It is ineffective to confront the deputy director about the arrangement because he is adamant about maximizing the staffing constraints. Ji-Woong is introduced to Lim Sun at the end of the episode, which leaves him confused as he tries to make sense of the sudden turn of events in their working relationship.

While some viewers might perceive “Miss Night and Day” as bland, it remains engaging and entertaining throughout. Lee Jung-eun’s portrayal of Lim Sun reveals a youthful side, beautifully contrasting with her character’s usual demeanour.

Her chemistry with Baek Seo-hoo’s character adds an intriguing layer to the narrative, hinting at potential developments in their relationship.
