Resident Alien is a fun television series that mashes several genres successfully like sci-fi, comedy as well as mystery. It manages to not become another comic book adaptation and is really different from others. There have been two more seasons and the third one was concluded in 2023.

What Is Resident Alien All About?
Resident Alien is the creation of Chris Sheridan and it’s adapted from the eponymous comic book series which was penned by Steve Parkhouse and Peter Hogan. It follows an alien named Harry Vanderspeigle (played by Alan Tudyk) who crashes on Earth and eventually murders a doctor in a town in Colorado. It then takes over his total identity.
Later, the alien starts working in the clinic of the doctor while thinking about his secretive mission. Meanwhile, the son of the mayor Max Hawthorne (Judah Prehn) can actually see the alien’s real form. As the story progresses, he ends up siding with humans.
Sheridan has executive-produced the show with Robert Duncan McNeill, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, David Dobkin, Justin Falvey, and Darryl Frank. The first season dropped on January 27th, 2021, on Syfy. Resident Alien Season 3 aired between February 14th till April 3rd, 2024.
How Did Resident Alien Season 3 End?
Resident Alien Season 3 ends with its eighth episode titled Homecoming and it was released on April 3rd, 2024. D’arcy gets captured inside the mother ship belonging to Grey via a portal. Kate reveals the device of tracking in her body along with Ben.
However, the former is adamant to not get removed since it was linked to her child.
Later in the episode, her baby is found inside a room that has other kidnapped newborns as well. D’arcy leaves with the baby and finally meets Asta. The moon is actually the mother ship of the aliens. A fight between Joseph and Peter takes place.
As the episode moves, Mike sees Grey while we see McCallister going inside a portal. The baby of Kate and Ben is given to them. Bridget and Harry are abducted and kept in the base of Grey’s Moon.
Is Resident Alien Season 4 Happening?
The makers announced in June that Resident Alien Season 4 will be happening. But there will be a change in where it will be shown. Since the first season, Resident Alien has been airing on Syfy. However, from the fourth season, it will come on the American Network.

This won’t change anything in the content but viewers will have to get used to watching it on a different network on television. The decision was made as the makers believe a new network will help in expanding its viewer base.
What To Expect From It?
Chris Sheridan has revealed that with Resident Alien Season 4, he will be expanding the universe of the aliens while keeping it on the ground with reality. This means that we will see the usual alien storylines, fights, and dramas, but everything will have a touch of realism. The prior season ended with the kidnapping of Harry as well as Bridget by the folks of Grey.
Resident Alien Season 4 will emphasize on that and we will see their fate unfolding slowly. There is no clarity over the release date, but we can guess that the next season will be available sometime next year. If any delay happens, it will still be out by early 2025.

Who Will Be In The Cast?
Resident Alien Season 4 should have the same main cast as the prior season like Alan Tudyk (Harry Vanderspeigle), Sara Tomko (Asta Twelvetrees), Corey Reynolds (Mike Thompson), Alice Wetterlund (D’arcy Bloom) and Levi Fiehler (Ben Hawthorne) among others.
