Rising Impact Season 2 Review: Nanaumi Gawain’s Journey Continues on Netflix

Rising Impact Season 3

Rising Impact Season 1 was released only a couple of months ago in June, and Season 2 is here already! This Netflix series is an adaptation of a popular Manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki.

The first season had set the bar relatively high, and because both seasons were announced together, we had plenty of expectations, but the question remains, did the second season deliver?

If you are an ardent fan of Japanese manga, chances are you have already made your way to Netflix and streamed Rising Impact Season 2, however, if you are still undecided, we’re here to save you some trouble! This review will help you decide whether you or not you should stream this latest season!

An Enjoyable Follow-Up to the First Season!

It is time for all golf lovers to come together because once again, Rising Impact Season 2 primarily focuses on Nanaumi Gawain and his journey with the sport as he makes his way to the prestigious  Camelot Academy.

This time around Nunaumi has plenty of other rivals, who can give him tough competition, and this serves as the backdrop of the season.

The first season of the Japanese anime series had 12 episodes, but season 2 has up the ante and added 2 more episodes, bringing the total to 14. Most shows on Netflix don’t really go beyond 6-8 episodes, so this is a treat for anyone who enjoys Rising Impact, especially since the episodes are breezy!

Nanaumi Gawain has finally found worthy new opponents in the first episode of Rising Impact Season 2, and as much as golf lovers will love this series, the fact remains that it can be enjoyed by absolutely everyone.

It is easy to follow, it is often fun, there’s humor, some drama, and the dialogues are particularly well structured.

Because this latest season of Rising Impact is 14 episodes long, oftentimes there are moments where the plot feels a little dragged on because does Nunaumi Gawain really need that many episodes to prove his worth while some mock him, and others stand by his side?

Admittedly, this appears to be the only downside of the season, but the length of the episodes makes up for it. Rising Impact almost feels like a sitcom!

We don’t say Rising Impact Season 2 has many social messages for the viewers, but we did admire how a few of them were simply scattered around and blended right into the plot.

For example, when Nunaumi Gawain plays golf with a girl and immediately claims he won’t go easy on her just because she’s a girl. It’s the response and setting that simply add to the overall quality.

Conclusion

This season of Rising Impact was just as good as the first one and presented itself as a brilliant follow-up season. If you haven’t watched season one just yet, now might be the perfect time to do so!
