6 episodes seem almost a little too less for a series as vast as Supacell. Not only was this Netflix series about the superpowers of the common black men and women, but also dug deep into the social injustices, and the final episode held up a mirror to society.
Supacell has been one of the most fascinating Netflix originals in a very long time, and we have no doubt it will give tough competition to series like The Umbrella Academy.
All episodes of Supacell had something unique about them, and the penultimate episode truly stood out the most, the finale was also one of a kind.
In this review, we will talk a little more about Supacell Episode 6, and why you need to add this series to your watchlist ASAP! P.S. There will be some spoilers ahead!
One Couldn’t Have Asked for a Better Ending
The final episode of Supacell, aka Episode 6 picks up where the previous episode left off, and it is clear that the hooded figures are much stronger than any of them might have anticipated. Despite Sabrina, Rodney, Tazer, and Michael being able to use their powers, it isn’t nearly enough and almost kills Rodney.
Luckily he is alive, but burnt, however, the healing is super quick. Once again, Supacell proves that it has many flinch-worthy moments, and this is definitely somewhere at the top!
Andre is now in captivity, and it’s finally time for some answers. The word “Supacell” is finally mentioned in the series, and if your interest wasn’t piqued yet, now is the time. The people working against those with the superpowers, wish to enlist Andre, give him a job, and bring as many of them back to, let’s say, the evil people who hold them in captivity.
Sickle cell is the key and the common factor between them all. This corporation wants to capture everyone with a Supacell and make sure they aren’t a threat to themselves and others.
You must keep your eyes glued to the screen when it comes to Supacell Episode 6 because there’s a lot happening from start to finish. All 5 characters – Andre, Michael, Rodney, Sabrina, and Tazer finally come together, fighting for the same side, even though Andre was swayed for a while. He ultimately chooses the right people, but it all comes at a cost.
There is a final showdown between the hooded people, aka the ones who have the supacell but work for the evil cooperation, and our superheroes whose journey we have been on in the last 5 episodes. This final showdown was epic and we witnessed all the different superpowers that the main characters possess, and with some major twists and turns, one important character is lost, and that is Dionne.
Now, Michael is keen to avenge the murder of his fiance and he will stop at nothing, but it is important to remember that the opposing force is much stronger, and not a stranger.
However, all of this will only be revealed in the next season of the series, which has not been confirmed yet. Netflix can’t possibly leave the viewers hanging after this season finale, can they?
Conclusion
