What Is The Boys All About?

The Boys is the creation of Eric Kripke who is also the main showrunner. It is adapted from the namesake comic book series that was created by Darick Robertson and Garth Ennis. The series is about superheroes who are morally corrupt and misuse their powers frequently. The eponymous group of vigilantes then decide to tackle them and stop them.

Kirpke has executive-produced the show with Robertson, Ennis, Seth Rogen, Neal H. Moritz, Dan Trachtenberg, Phil Sgriccia, and Evan Goldberg among others. Karl Urban, who is one of the main actors, is also one of the producers of the show. The Boys premiered on July 26th, 2019 on Amazon Prime Video. The Boys Season 4 started on June 13th, 2024.

What Happened In The Previous Episode?

The Boys Season 4 Episode 4 is named Wisdom of the Ages and it was released on June 20th, 2024. The episode is written by Geoff Aull and it was directed by Phil Sgriccia. Homelander (played by Antony Starr) kills the employees of the laboratory where he was created.

Daphne is planning to end the life of Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) father by removing his life support.

Singer and Annie (Erin Moriarty) plan to upend Vought and offer their help in that. Meanwhile, A-Train agrees to provide Compound V when Hughie and Kimiko ask him for the former’s father. They manage to escape an attack from the folks of the Shining Light army. Butcher (Karl Urban) comes back into The Boys and makes an unsuccessful attempt to get information from Firecracker (Valorie Curry).

Annie confronts and beats him after he leaks several pieces of her private information. Frenchie (Tomer Capone) and Butcher are attacked by Ezekiel and the latter ends up dying. Later, Butcher tries to convince Hughie against giving V to his ill father. However, it has been injected already by someone.

What To Expect From The Boys Season 4 Episode 5?

The Boys Season 4 Episode 5 is named Beware the Jabberwock, My Son, and it was written by Judalina Neira. We will see the fate of the father of Hughie who has been given V probably by Daphne.

The last episode showed him waking up and we can expect an emotionally heavy confrontation between him and Hughie. It might further damage Hughie’s relationship with his mother. Since Butcher is a part of The Boys again, there will be more unhinged and daring missions the vigilantes will be doing.

The entire team will continue doing certain things to end Homelander and it will not be easy for sure. Meanwhile, Butcher’s son is still in a dilemma and doesn’t really like Highlander. But it’s hard for him to leave the situation since he is very young and Homelander is dangerous.

The Boys Season 4 Episode 5 might also showcase how Annie is dealing with the increasing hostility around her as the Vought superheroes have ganged up against her and are trying to tarnish her entire superhero and good image.
