The Man with 1000 Kids Review

Netflix wastes no time in exploring some of the most shocking and odd stories around the world that deserve an audience and has found plenty of success in doing so. Yet another example and a chilling addition to the streaming platform’s list is The Man with 1000 Kids.

If you need to re-read the title or do some more research about it before watching it, it is completely understandable, and you can do so right here.

The Man with 1000 Kids is a 3-part docuseries that unravels the true story behind a man named Jonathan Meijer, who has had over 1000 children all around the world and continues to do so.

While this docuseries might not be everyone’s cup of tea right off the bat, it definitely deserves a stream and you can save it for this weekend, and choose your favorite rom-com or sitcom to watch after because you will need it.

Netflix Does it Again!

Netflix has become everyone’s go-to when it comes to docuseries and documentaries, especially when it comes to the true crime genre, and The Man with 1000 Kids is yet another example of why viewers are so attracted to this streaming platform.

The docuseries begins with pictures of several adorable babies on the screen, but let’s not be mistaken because the voice-over that overlaps these images followed by the actual content will have your eyes wide!

From the very first part of The Man with 1000 Kids, it is established that the core of the docuseries will be the interviews. These interviews were with all those who have been impacted by Jonathan Meijer’s actions.

However, all the people involved don’t jump straight into talking about Meijer but actually give solid background about their journey to motherhood, or parenthood, in some cases, and it helps the viewers connect with the victims from an early stage.

Jonathan’s long, blonde hair was the most noticeable part about him, but along with that, he certainly had some habits that were also highlighted in the series. On one hand, the viewers grew more fond of the people being interviewed, and on the other, developed a sense of animosity against Jonathan, and this struck the perfect balance of emotions in The Man with 1000 Kids, which made it an interesting watch, albeit, disturbing.

3 parts seem perfect for The Man with 1000 Kids because it doesn’t feel dragged on, and at the same time, gives enough room for different stories that need to be conveyed, whilst uncovering the truth about Jonathan.

This docuseries will leave you shocked at multiple points, and while the element of shock and suspense continues to grow throughout the series, the first episode remains the best one.

Conclusion

Netflix has done it once again as the streaming platform has offered their viewers yet another shocking and disturbing docuseries that one will remember for a long time. The Man with 1000 Kids needs to be at the top of your watchlist for the coming weekend!
