Women in Blue Episode 7 Review: Plot Thickens as the Past Resurfaces

Women in Blue Episode 7 Review

Every time we think we’re getting a little closer to finding out who The Undresser is in Women in Blue, there are a series of events that derail the big question, as this Apple TV+ series is taking its time whilst building characters and a narrative around them. So far, this drama has been heavily character-driven with plenty of focus on feminist themes and how women are treated at home, and especially at work.

Women in Blue Episode 7 is no exception as this time around, María, Valentina, Gabina, and Ángeles take a look at some unsolved murders from the past to help understand The Undresser better and possibly catch him. In this review, we have explored some of the key moments of Episode 7 and our overall opinion of the same!

María and Ángeles Comes Closer to the Truth

Women in Blue Episode 7 begins with Lucas in an ambulance and Valentina, covered in blood, accompanying him as the paramedics attempt to find a pulse. Once they’re at the hospital, a hysterical Valentina is comforted by María, as the two try to figure out who would hurt Lucas, and Valentina keeps blaming herself for his condition.

In the previous episode, Lucas had published a letter from The Undresser to the newspaper, following orders from his boss. It is revealed that Lucas was attacked by The Undresser, and possibly because the former had found something he shouldn’t have. Valentina is briefly asked questions about him, but she chooses to remain quiet, letting the police know that Lucas kept his work to himself.

In a state of distress, Valentina also finds herself pushing her friend and co-worker Gabina away, while María confronts her mother, and there is still no update about Lucas’s wellbeing. María also gets back to work with Angeles, as the two are delivered cold cases from the last 15 years of missing or murdered women, and it is time to get to work, hoping they find cases involving The Undresser, which pushes them closer to the killer.

Much like the previous episodes, Women in Blue Episode 7 also focuses on María’s attempt to balance her life between prioritizing work and letting her husband take care of matters at home. All is well until María’s daughter gets her first period, and all she needs is her mother.

Meanwhile, at work, María and Angeles are hoping to talk to a retired officer about the cold cases and almost reach another dead end, before they finally get some help.

Towards the end of the episode, we learn about a man named Benito Lagunas, one who could possibly be The Undresser and is also the same person Gabina met on the bus and decided to meet later that night.

Conclusion

Women in Blue Episode 7 might not have been as action-packed as the rest, but it certainly witnessed the most progress and we’re eager to find out if the girls have discovered who The Undresser really is! Keep a lookout for our review of the next episode, next week.
