Agatha All Along Episode 8 Review

Disney+ has released a double episode, marking the conclusion of Marvel Television’s beloved and spooky series, Agatha All Along. As fans continue to stream the final episodes, the verdict remains uncertain. Many are still deciphering the Witches’ Road’s fate for Agatha and her coven, or what remains of it

Throughout its run, Agatha’s character has consistently made dubious choices, a pattern that continues in the final two episodes, for all those who are curious. In this article, we’ll zero in on episode 8, breaking down the pivotal moments from the penultimate installment

Does Agatha Meet Her Ultimate Demise?

Agatha: All Along featured some major character deaths that caught us off guard, one in particular – Alice Wu’s premature demise. Thus, it was a thrilling surprise when Episode 8 opened with her, offering a new perspective, because in this opening scene, Alicer has a conversation with death, or Rio Vidal.

If there’s one person, witch, or entity, that Agatha truly fears, it isn’t Billy Maximoff, but in fact, Rio. While Jen and Billy are unpacking Lilia’s death and sacrifice, Rio and Agatha confront each other for a moment, since Rio has to take Billy, but she can’t, so, the two crack a deal. One that leads Rio to Billy, and frees Agatha from death.

Agatha finds her way to Jen and Billy, but as they continue their journey on the Witches’ Road, they understand that this road is a circle, and they’re back where they began. Agatha is furious, all she wants to do is finish the final trial. Not so simple, is it? Not in Agatha in Along’s penultimate episode.

Billy is the first to reach the final trial, with Agatha and Jen following behind, as the three find themselves emerging out of body bags, and if that isn’t the start of a terrifying nightmare, we don’t know what is. After a fairly iconic scene with Jen, she finds what she is missing before she disappears, leaving Agatha and Billy behind. Now, this is where we feel like the episode really begins.

Billy is next to disappear from the room after Agatha forces him to remember Tommy, and Agatha eventually makes it out of the basement when she’s confronted by Rio, only to realize that Billy hadn’t surrendered himself to death, as per their deal. In this penultimate episode, what we weren’t expecting to see is Billy Maximoff as Wiccan for the first time, saving Agatha’s life.

This episode belonged with Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, and Kathryn Hahn who delivered some of their finest episodes in the series so far, and we have to admit, we’re most looking forward to Locke’s future as Wiccan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after this episode!

Conclusion

Agatha All Along Episode 8 has plenty of gasp-worthy moments, and towards the end, we are convinced that Agatha is dead, and thanks to Rio, Billy is free to go. One thing we must thank Disney+ and Marvel for – they didn’t make us wait another week for the season finale!
