America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Review

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Review

Netflix’s latest series, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and all its 7 episodes are now available to watch on the streaming platform, however, it’s safe to say that this series isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

When the trailer of America’s Sweethearts was first released, it showcased promise unlike never before, with equal parts of drama, poise, cheerleading, and much more, however, ultimately it did not deliver as one would have expected.

So if you’ve had America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on your list for a while now, we would recommend hitting the 1.5x button on Netflix and speeding through 7 episodes instead of patiently watching it, because it will only leave you frustrated by it. Of course, the series had some noteworthy moments, but not enough for us to recommend saving it for a weekend binge.

This Could Have Been an Email!

Has your boss ever asked you to attend an extremely important meeting, and once you’ve attended it patiently, you realize that this could have simply been said in an email? And you didn’t actually have to take time out from doing something more important and sit through the meeting.

Well, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders feels a lot like that, and oftentimes during its entire runtime, which is 7 lengthy episodes. Frankly, this series would have worked better as a movie, a 90-minute documentary showcasing the trials and tribulations of the class of 23′ but instead, the makers decided to go another way, and it didn’t land, but some of the splits did!

If you are a cheerleader or have been a fan of cheerleading for a long time, chances of you enjoying America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are slightly higher than the viewer who has no interest nor experience in cheerleading.

In addition to the lack of a proper narrative, this series also reduces its audience with a bunch of seemingly uninteresting storylines strung together that seem like a drag. While this might sound a little harsh, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders truly did itself no favors.

With a weak structure paired with uninteresting and forceful storylines, the series also lacks drama and a certain oomph factor that might give itself a larger viewership, much like most reality shows on Netflix and their success rate.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for discouragement to become a cheerleader, then America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders might be worth a quick look, otherwise, we would highly recommend spending your time on Netflix streaming Joko Anwar’s Nightmares and Daydreams instead!
