Brian Simpson Tackles Racism in Comedy Special

From the get-go, Brian Simpson did not hesitate to talk about racism in his recent performance which is now a comedy special on Netflix, aka, Brian Simpson: Live From the Mothership. The beginning of this comedy special even called out racists in this audience in Simpson’s usual comedic way before he narrated an incident about a racist Uber driver, and the punchline definitely landed. Simpson was off to a strong start and he got the momentum going for at least half the show before there was a brief dip.

Simpson’s comedic style isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, he tends to tackle more serious issues in a funny fashion, and while a lot of that was seen in his latest comedy special on Netflix, somewhere in the middle, the storytelling method fell flat.

However, that wasn’t the end of Brian Simpson: Live From the Mothership. Simpson was quick to pick up the pace and energy that he had started his special with right in the beginning and showcased that there was plenty where that came from.
