Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 5 Review

Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 5 Review

Bridgerton Season 3 is back again with Part 2, which the fans have anxiously been waiting for, and as far as we’re concerned, this season does not disappoint. Episode 5, which serves as the first episode of the second part has some stellar performances by the lead characters of this season, aka Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton who play the roles of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton respectively.

Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 5 has provided a strong start to the second part of the season and there’s no doubt that the fans of the beloved series will feel the same. However, while there might be romance and #Polin in the air, tensions are rising, especially for Penelope, who is Lady Whistledown. What’s next for her and the ton?

Penelope and Colin Shine Through in Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2

Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 5 picks up where Episode 4 left off at the end of Part 1, and of course, Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington are seen walking towards Colin’s home after their romance rendevous in the carriage, which also became one of the most popular scenes of the season.

While that might have served as the benchmark, there’s plenty more in this season and Episode 5 is simply proof of that.

Colin and Penelope announce their engagement to the Bridgerton family and everyone but Eloise is thrilled about it. Eloise’s displeasure will continue to serve as a huge subplot in Episode 5 as well as the rest of the season as she puts pressure on Penelope to tell Colin the truth about Lady Whistledown, in fact, Eloise also gives her former best friend an ultimatum. While things might be getting intense in the series, it certainly hasn’t taken away the romance.

Colin and Penelope steal everyone’s hearts with their scenes in Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 5, from Colin defending Penelope’s honor to making her fall in love with herself, and of course, presenting a strong contender to the carriage scene – the mirror scene.

This couple continues to give in the second part of the season, and we have no doubt that this shall continue in future episodes.

Meanwhile, other subplots are also paid good attention to in the latest episode, for example, Anthony and Kate are expecting their first child and they wait an entire episode to break the news, and that way the focus stays on Anthony’s younger brother. Fans of this duo would be thrilled to know that Anthony and Kate have more screentime this season.

Conclusion

Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 is off to a fantastic start and there’s no doubt about it for a single moment, but now, the plot has thickened with the cliffhanger ending after Cressida claims she is Lady Whistledown and Penelope can barely stand on her own as she faints.
