The Big Door Prize Season 2 Review: More Romance, More MORPHO, More Chris O’Dowd

The Big Door Prize Season 2 Review

The first season of The Big Door Prize was quirky, funny, mysterious, and filled with a blue machine that gave the townspeople their life’s true potential. So far, The Big Door Prize Season 2 feels similar but with a few adjustments, a lot more romance, and of course, it is filled with plenty of laughs, all thanks to Chris O’Dowd, who continues to bring his A-game when it comes to this Apple TV+ series.

So far, the streaming platform has dropped three episodes of The Big Door Prize Season 2, and after this, the rest of the episodes will follow a weekly schedule, much like the other shows streaming on Apple TV right now, including Sugar and Palm Royale. In this article, we will give you a review of The Big Door Prize Season 2 so far, which will help you decide whether you want to stream the series, or skip it!

Chris O’Dowd Shines Through in an Ensemble Cast

There’s no doubt that The Big Door Prize Season 2 has some of the most fantastic actors and actresses, most of whom have reprised their roles from the previous season. As for the first three episodes, some of the cast members who particularly stood out to us were Josh Segarra, Gabrielle Dennis, Ally Maki, Sammy Fourlas, and of course, the one and only, Chris O’Dowd.

While a considerable amount of screentime was given to the aforementioned cast members, O’Dowd stood out of the crowd, as he always does. Whether it is his timing when delivering some of the funniest lines, his banter with Dennis, and this particular season, his slightly flirtatious mannerisms with a school teacher, O’Dowd has it all down perfectly.

As for the first three episodes of The Big Door Prize Season 2 and the science-fiction element of it, which remains the focus, and yes, we are talking about the notorious MORPHO machine.

Last season, this machine told people their life’s potential, and in the latest season, it is treating the people of the town to some interesting visions, like Cass stabbing her mother and Dusty, and then dancing on their bodies was surely something we weren’t expecting to see in an animated form.

There are plenty of questions that have been raised in The Big Door Prize Season 2 already, and once you stream these episodes, you will be aching for the next episode and that’s how this show has continued to stay relevant with the viewers, but let’s hope it doesn’t drag on too much.

Blue dots on bodies, Cass and Dusty “taking time apart,” and Giorgio’s romantic relationship with Nat are only the tip of the iceberg so far, and there’s plenty more to come.

Conclusion

Much like the first season, The Big Door Prize Season 2 has us hooked at the start, and if they can keep up the pace, it might just become one of the more successful shows on Apple TV. Do check in with us next week, where we will review The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 4!
