Trap: Release Date, Plot, Cast, and Everything You Need to Know

Trap

M. Night Shyamalan has been the mastermind behind some of the most mind-bending movies in the last couple of decades including The Sixth Sense, Split, Old, and Knock at the Cabin. There’s no stopping Shyamalan when it comes to giving the audience exactly what they hope for, which brings us to his upcoming psychological thriller, Trap.

Trap is a movie about a father-daughter duo who attend a crowded concert. If only things were that simple, and if they were, it wouldn’t be a classic Shyamalan movie. So, make sure you stick around as we tell you everything you need to know about the upcoming movie Trap, from the plot to the cast and much more.

What is the Plot of Trap?

Trap follows the story of a father, Cooper, who takes his daughter to a concert, and she is more than thrilled to be there as the two of them watch Lady Raven perform. Sometime during the concert, Cooper heads out when he notices an unusual amount of security at the concert and one of the people working there lets Cooper in on a secret.

The entire concert is a trap to capture a serial killer who has been going around, chopping people up, and the serial killer is indeed at the concert because it is none other than Cooper himself. You can catch a glimpse of Cooper and his serial killer ways in the trailer of the movie.

The Cast of Trap

Trap has a limited yet stellar cast because let’s face it, when it comes to a serial killer movie, all the focus remains on the killer. Playing the role of the killer or the butcher is Josh Hartnett. Hartnett is a seasoned actor when it comes to both movies and shows, and you might recognize him from his work in The Virgin Suicides, Pearl Harbor, Penny Dreadful, Cracker, and Here on Earth.
