X-Men: The Animated Series ran between the years 1992 and 1997. X-Men ’97 starts off just a year after the previous show ended. What Happened In X-Men ’97 Episode 3?

The third episode of X-Men ’97 is called Fire Made Flesh and it was released on Disney+ on March 27th, 2024. It was written by Charley Feldman and Beau DeMayo while Emi Yonemura helmed it. The episode showcases the clone of Jean joining The X-Men. Beast then confirms that she might be the actual Jean.

However, we get to know that the second Jean is a clone and a creation of Mister Sinister. The clone is turned into Goblin Queen. Nathan is then abducted by her and given to Mister Sinister. Luckily, the actual Jean shows up and contacts her via telepathy. The X-Men then go to a lab of Sinister where they see him giving a virus to Nathan that might turn into a mutant.

Nathan is saved but is very weak. Meanwhile, the clone attacks Sinister after she frees herself from his grip. Bishop then takes Nathan into the future to cure him. Towards the end, the clone part ways with X-Men and Forge meets Storm and is told that her power can be restored.

What To Expect From X-Men ’97 Episode 4?

X-Men ’97 Episode 4 is named Motendo / Lifedeath – Part 1. It will showcase the actual fate of Nathan and if Bishop is able to find any cure for him. Since he is dying, there is a clock ticking in this situation and Bishop will have to hurry up. The previous episode also showcased the clone using the name of Madelyne Pryor.

So episode four might give us more details about this character and who she actually is. The ending of the earlier episode had a cliffhanger involving Storm finding out that she might regain her lost powers. This question can be answered in the future and we can see her in her real mode with the help of Forge. Overall, there are many plot points in the story that need to be addressed.
