Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns

Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns Review

Each stand-up comedian has something unique about them, including the pinch of the success, that eventually lands them on Netflix, giving them a wider audience that has more access to their content. One such comedian is Dave Attell who has landed hot and heavy on Netflix with his 40-minute special, Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns.

40-minutes weren’t nearly enough and as this special goes on, joke after joke, one can only hope that there’s more to come. Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns is for anyone and everyone who can take a joke. It isn’t for a sensitive crowd, far from it, and we’re here to tell you some of our favorite bits and why we think you need to stream Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns on Netflix right away!

Endless Dark Jokes in Dave Attell’s Latest Comedy Special

In times like these, it has become almost too important for stand-up comedians to be politically correct when it comes to performing in front of a live audience, especially when that might air on one of the biggest streaming platforms in the world.

However, in Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns, Atell does not hold back, and frankly, that helped deliver some of the best comedy we have seen in a while. Netflix is currently flooded with stand-up specials and it is hard to stand-out, but Attell goes ahead and does exactly that.

From Hunter Biden to Jeffery Dahmer, Atell had a joke about literally anything and everything under the sun, and he did not spare North Korea either. As the special went on, the jokes continued to get darker and the tone had evidently been set.

Attell wasn’t going to take a step back, and the audience loved every second of it, there truly wasn’t a dull moment. They often say that too many jokes can make things unfunny, but that wasn’t the case in Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns, as it simply kept giving, minute after minute.

Attell’s brief section during Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns about his 87-year-old mother was one of our favorite parts in the entire special. It induced the belly-aching laughter that one can hope they are on the receiving end of while watching a comedian perform. If you didn’t love Atell already, then this stand-up special would get the job done.

40-minutes of Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns went by like a breeze and hopefully this only means that there will be more of Atell on Netflix soon enough, and especially more of his digs at pop culture that has taken over social media, and yes, we are talking about podcasters.

Conclusion

It doesn’t matter what generation you belong to, Dave Attell: Hot Cross Buns is for everyone. If you haven’t streamed it already, now is the perfect time to head over to Netflix and have the laugh of your life with Dave Attell.
