Death And Other Details came out of nowhere and became a super successful series on Hulu. Thanks to its sharp writing, strong direction as well as the incredible performance of all the cast members, it was able to connect with the audience.

For the generation who have read Agatha Christie and has seen the Knives Out films, very few stories make them scratch their head. This series successfully manages to do that and never drags or gets boring throughout its multiple episodes.

Every episode provides a series of twists and turns that keep the audience engaged all along. The detective story trope and its fatigue never sets in thanks to an intriguing screenplay. Just like many such whodunit stories, this one also takes place in one location, this time it’s a cruise ship. The makers are able to stretch the rubber band of tension to the last minute until it becomes overwhelming.

The final reveal and the truth of the murder make sense and feel earned and not manipulative. Every single actor in the series, no matter the duration of their part, gives their best and makes Death And Other Details an overall very entertaining mystery series that can be binged in one go.

The success of the first season has left the audiences wanting more. The cliffhanger towards the end has further fueled the fire for the need for a second season. Fans are now waiting with bated breath for the follow-up season to know what happens with the lives of all the interesting characters. We cannot wait for the second one and witness the return of Detective Rufus Cotesworth and Imogene Scott to unravel yet another mystery with their sharp eye and observational skills.
