Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 6 Review

Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 6 Review

Emily in Paris Season 4 is back, and now the whole season is officially streaming on Netflix. We realize that not everyone was thrilled by the streaming platform’s decision to divide the season into two halves, but luckily, the wait wasn’t too long. This brings us to Part 2 of Season 4, as Emily’s journey continues, and this time around, it’s a more romantic one.

In the first part of Emily in Paris Season 4, Emily finally makes a choice between Alfie and Gabriel, as she chooses the handsome French chef. We also learned that Camille wasn’t actually pregnant, however, other than her and viewers, no one knew that until Episode 5. Now, we’re here to review Episode 6, and there will be some spoilers ahead, so tread lightly!

Emily’s Christmas Fiasco!

Who doesn’t love a good holiday episode? That’s the best way to describe Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 6 as it begins with a holiday toast, Christmas bells ringing all around, Emily and Gabriel skating in a snow rink, and Emily is extremely excited that this year she will be able to spend her Christmas back home in Chicago, and only wishes Gabriel could come with her. Speaking of Gabriel, he is spending Christmas with Camille and her family.

Emily’s luck is hardly ever in her favor, and this episode is yet another proof of that. All flights to Chicago were canceled, and since Camille’s family needs Gabriel around for Christmas, Emily is invited to spend Christmas with them. This triangle continues to get more awkward as the series progresses, and we have no doubt there will be several more moments in the following episodes of the series.

An awkward Christmas might have been an understatement as Emily tries her best to fit in with the French Christmas traditions, which are completely different from what she would have done with her family back in the US.

However, the bigger elephant in the room is that Gabriel might start to feel stretched between Emily and Camille, one is his girlfriend, and the other is currently pretending to be the mother of his future child. Messy and awkward.

After a ski trip gone wrong, Emily finally blows up at Gabriel, when she’s left stranded at the top of a mountain, and realizes that this arrangement between the three won’t work, because he will always pick Camillie. We have to admit, on the drama front, Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 is off to a strong start!

The episode ends with a sobbing Emily after she runs into Alfie back in Paris and finds out that he’s in a serious relationship now. Clearly, the timing of her relationship with Gabriel possibly ending and learning about Alfie didn’t sit too well with her. Is there more love in store for Emily?

Conclusion

We spent a long time in this review talking about Emily, because at the end of the day, no matter how many subplots are introduced, Emily is the focus, especially her love life. So, make sure you stick around for our reviews of the next few episodes!
