Frankly Speaking Episode 10 Review: An Unexpected Cliffhanger in Netflix’s K-drama

Frankly Speaking Episode 10

Frankly Speaking, which is now streaming on Netflix, has seen its fair share of highs and lows. This series revolves around Song Ki-baek, who gets electrocuted in the first episode, and from that day on, he is unable to lie. However, he eventually finds his “switch,” and that main storyline gets lost in the plot as several other subplots are introduced, but looks like it might be back.

Frankly Speaking Episode 10 might have been this series’ best episode so far, and ended on a shocking cliffhanger that no one would have expected. There’s plenty to look forward to in this latest episode, and in our review, we will talk about some of the key moments that we witnessed, which helped drive the plot forward.

On Woo-ju and Song Ki-baek Can Finally Be Together!

At the end of the previous episode, On Woo-ju and Song Ki-baek’s romance gets exposed by one of their fellow contestants in the reality show they were a part of. Now, this could have ended both their careers, however, Woo-ju saved the day. This happened after a brainstorming session between the two families, which was a rather wholesome scene in Frankly Speaking Episode 10.

Woo-ju and Ki-baek face the wrath of social media, and this subplot holds up a mirror to the reality that many celebrities face in today’s day and age. Woo-ju also gets attacked by a young girl who is a big fan of Kim Jung-heon. There’s plenty happening in the episodes, however, it all flows seamlessly for the most part and comes together beautifully.

As for Ki-bael’s “switch,” this gets activated during a very important interview where he was supposed to deny dating Woo-ju, but he is unsuccessful. However, Woo-ju reaches there on time, much to everyone’s surprise, and has proof that gets the couple out of the mess. Finally, the two can actually date without hiding and lying, it’s a win for all!

But alas, there are still some episodes left in the K-drama, which means the happy ending that everyone wished for isn’t here just yet. While the second half of the episode shows Ki-baek having the time of his life with plenty of laughter with his friends, on the other side, his family has been in a terrible car crash.

Frankly Speaking Episode 10 ends on this particular cliffhanger with an emotional voiceover being delivered by Ki-baek, and it is enough to bring tears to anyone’s eyes.
