It is revealed that Book survived. 10-C is convinced by Book to fix all the damage done by DMA. Later, Discovery is sent to Earth by 10-C through a wormhole. As a punishment, Book is sent to provide support to victims of DMA.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 will take place in the 32nd century and it will follow the crew on board the iconic Discovery, which is a massive starship roaming in the galaxy. The exact timeline will be set over 900 years after the events of Star Trek: The Original Series.
The plot will focus on their pursuit of a power that is surrounded by mystery. It was in hiding for many years and now many groups of entities are after it. The first two episodes will take a closer look at the ship searching for this power and what it will eventually lead to.
