The Acolyte is the creation of Leslye Headland who is also its showrunner. Also named Star Wars: The Acolyte, the series belongs to the big franchise of Star Wars. It starts at the cusp of the era of the High Republic when it was ending. This is approximately a century before the storyline of the original series took place. The main plot focuses on a Jedi Master who is looking into several crimes that have taken place.

The executive producers of the show include Headland, Jeff F. King, Kathleen Kennedy, Jason Micallef, and Simon Emanuel. Rayne Roberts, Eileen Shim, Damian Anderson, and Rob Bredow have produced the series. The Acolyte premiered on June 4th, 2024 on Disney+.

What Happened In The Previous Episode?

The Acolyte Episode 4 was called Day and it was released on June 18th, 2024. Alex Garcia Lopez directed the episode while Kor Adana and Claire Kiechel wrote it. We see Osha (played by Amandla Stenberg) talking to Jecki (Dafne Keen) to say a final goodbye.

But Yord (Charlie Barnett) along with Sol and others are also in the region to prevent them. Qimir is trapped by Mae as she wants to be free from the clutches of the Master.

As she moves forward, Mae finds out bad news; Wookiee is murdered. She feels that everyone will think she murdered him. The master appears and is seen going for Osha who is thrown out by the Master. This is the point where the episode ends.

What To Expect From The Acolyte Episode 5?

The Acolyte Episode 5 is again helmed by Alex Garcia Lopez while Cameron Squires and Kor Adana have written it. The episode will focus on what the Master will do once appearing in front of Mae.

Meanwhile, she is also on the run after witnessing that Wookiee was already killed by someone but people will believe she did it. She will have to continue moving forward as Sol and his team are after her to capture her. We can also expect The Acolyte Episode 5 to reveal who this Master really is. There are speculations that it might be Qimir but chances are slim.
