What Is The Atypical Family All About?

The Atypical Family has been developed by Park Joon-seo while Kang Eun-kyung and Gleline are the creators. It is directed by Jo Hyun-taek while Joo Hwa-mi is the writer. Bok Gwi-ju (played by Jang Ki-yong) is the protagonist of the series and he possesses the superpower of walking through time.

However, he lost his wife and slipped into depression which dowsed his superpowers. His family members also have the same fate as all of them have different superpowers that are affected by illnesses. Suddenly, a girl named Do Da-hae (played by Chun Woo-hee) comes into his life and changes things.

The executive producers of the show include Park Bum-soo, Hwang Bo-sangmi, Jung Seung-soon and Kim Joon-hyun. The Atypical Family premiered on May 4th, 2024.

What Happened In The Previous Episode?

The Atypical Family Episode 7 is slated to release on May 25th, 2024. The episode will feature the aftermath of the wedding of Gwi-ju and Da-hae. One of the reasons Gwi-ju agreed to marry her was his daughter Bok In-a (played by Park So-yi), more interactions between his new wife and his daughter can take place. She can freely talk about her feelings to her.

Since Da-hae is now a member of the Bok, some mystery around how she got the powers can also be explored. Either there will be scenes or she herself will open up about it to Gwi-ju. Meanwhile, Bok Dong-hee (played by Claudia Kim) who is the sister of Gwi-ju, can now fly once again. Her newfound powers might have some consequences given how she decides to use them. She might also choose to keep it a secret from the family.

What To Expect From The Atypical Family Episode 8?

The Atypical Family Episode 8 will pick from where the earlier episode ended. We can speculate that it will continue to showcase how the family is struggling with the superpowers they once had control over.

Meanwhile, Da-hae and Gwi-ju are a couple now and this will change the dynamics they shared till now. She might open up about her past and what her motivation has been all along. Either she is a nice person or maybe something ulterior is going on with her. The Atypical Family Episode 8 might focus on all of that.
