The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 5 Review: Dusty Makes a Big Move

The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 5

The second season of The Big Door Prize is in full swing and shockingly enough the Morpho machine has become a background character this season, unlike before. Nevertheless, The Big Door Prize Season 2 appears to be focusing more on the character’s arcs along with enhancing the relationships that have been built in this series.

The previous episode focused primarily on Mr. Johnson, who is missing in The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 5 as this particular episode has shifted its focus to the other characters. There’s plenty to look out for in this episode, so make sure you read our review to get a better idea of what you can expect from the different characters this time around.

Dusty Makes a Daring Move

The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 5 opens with the couple of the town, aka Nat and Giorgio sharing a sweet moment with breakfast in bed and a ring. However, for the first time ever, Nat appears to be a little hesitant about it all, which was quite the shocker.

Since The Big Door Prize Season 2 isn’t focusing a lot on the Morpho machine, the twists and turns lie within the characters and the relationships. Giorgio and the viewers are left a little confused by Nat’s hesitation more of which is revealed later in the episode.

This episode of The Big Door Prize Season 2 had a little bit of all the characters and while the girls – Cass, Nat, and Hana were out on a girls’ night, the men and the teenagers of the town were at Giorgio’s restaurant for a school-related event, however, it was hardly about that.

These different set-ups in the episode helped move the narrative forward because Nat finally opened up to the girls about her hesitation which was present because of her massive debt.

The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 5 has several different elements to it, and one that will surely be a part of the whole season is Dusty spending more time with Alice. This time around, it is certain that Dusty has been developing feelings for someone other than Cass, and towards the end of the episode, Dusty takes the plunge and kisses Alice.

However, this shared kiss is witnessed by his daughter, Trina. This definitely calls for a lot of drama in the coming episodes, despite the temporary separation between Cass and Dusty. For all those wondering about the Morpho machine, it also makes an appearance in The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 5, however, it is brief and mostly insignificant.

Eventually, Nat comes clean to Giorgio and they are happier than ever, Trina and Jacob finally spend time together again, and things are smooth sailing in Deerfield, but for how long will this really last? Hopefully, the next set of episodes focus a little more on the Morpho machine because The Big Door Prize Season 2 is missing the sci-fi element as the episodes go by.

Conclusion

The Big Door Prize Season 2 Episode 5 might not have been the strongest episode of the season but certainly helps move the narrative forward in terms of the characters. Do keep a lookout for our review of the next episode next week!
