If you have been looking forward to seeing The Fall Guy with your expectations set high, the chances of you being disappointed or dissatisfied are very slim, and that’s something we can say for sure. While The Fall Guy might not win an Academy Award, it certainly will win your heart, and we will talk more about it in this review!

Ryan Gosling Steals the Show in The Fall Guy

The Fall Guy was action-packed, which shouldn’t come as a shock if you have watched the trailer of this movie and know about the premise. Directed by David Leitch, The movie tells the story of a stuntman, Colt Seavers, and how his entire life changed after one unfortunate accident on set.

Not only did he lose his job, but also lost the love of his life, Jody. However, after more than a year of being MIA, Colt is back in action, despite being misled and then later framed for a murder.

Even if one has watched the trailers and read about The Fall Guy, watching it on the big screen is a different experience altogether, especially with the twists, turns, and action that come along with it. Ryan Gosling, who plays the role of Colt shined through in this movie, just like he did as Ken in Barbie. Gosling’s career trajectory is seeing new heights every day, and The Fall Guy is yet another brilliant addition to his filmography.

There’s plenty to love when it comes to The Fall Guy, starting with the music. There are endless popular songs that have been used in this movie, and one that really stood out, which was also revealed during the promotion of the movie was Taylor Swift’s song, All Too Well. Other songs like Thunderstruck by AC/DC also elevated the movie, especially during the action sequences, which made up for more than half of the movie.

Emily Blunt was the perfect addition to the movie as her chemistry with Gosling was unmatched, even when they were not a couple. You will find yourself rooting for their happy ending for the entire runtime of the movie. The supporting cast was beyond perfect in The Fall Guy, and a special mention goes to Hannah Waddingham, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Winston Duke.
