What Happened In The Previous Season?

Tulsa King tells the story of Dwight Manfredi aka The General who is a Mafia capo. He finishes serving a prison sentence of 25 years and is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma where his boss tells him to start his criminal organization. In the second last episode titled Adobe Walls, Dwight and Mitch start training their inexperienced guys to shoot amid the threat from Black Macadams.

Stacy visits Waltrip, who is the villain of the entire story. She tries hard but realizes that she cannot implicate him in a murder case. Meanwhile, Jimmy partners with Dwight and Mitch as they plan to open a casino of their own. Chickie, on the other hand, decides to eliminate Dwight with his family.

He then calls Dwight to further his sinister plans for the murder. Waltrips men start shooting right after Stacy meets Dwight again. She ends up being wounded after the shootout. Subsequently, cops arrive but Dwight is detained and questioned by them.

In the ninth and final episode of the series called Happy Trails, we get to see Armand calling Dwight in a panic when Ripple is found chained to a radiator. In a 1997 flashback, we see Dwight getting arrested for saving Ripple from burning alive while the entire house is on fire.

At the current time, Waltrip orders his men to kill Dwight and his crew. Chickie, Vince and Armand reach Tulsa to finish the plan but they are confronted by Dwight. He asks Bodhi to hack Waltrip’s computer and his bank accounts. A fight breaks out subsequently and Dwight kills Waltrip in a fist fight.

Later on, Dwight conforms to his daughter Tina. He also meets Stacy who accuses him of bribing a federal officer. Dwight is then taken into jail again to everyone’s shock. Turns out, he was set up by Stacy.

The makers have confirmed the second season of the series right after the first season aired. The shooting of the second season is going to take place in Atlanta. Unlike the first season which takes place in Oklahoma, the second one will be placed in Atlanta. A new setting means multiple perspectives and a fresh take on the gripping storyline of Dwight.

Toward the end of the first season, Dwight goes back to jail. The second season can start where the first ended. It will chronicle how he deals with the legal trouble caused by being set up by Stacy.
