Where’s Wanda? Episode 6

Where’s Wanda? Episode 6 Review

Apple TV+‘s expanding international offerings have welcomed a compelling new addition – Where’s Wanda?, a captivating and often funny German-language series. This gripping drama-comedy follows the Kaltts, a family desperately searching for their daughter Wanda, who has been missing for over three months.

In the previous installment of the series, the audiences were given plenty of hints about Wanda’s whereabouts, however, her family remains in the dark. Where’s Wanda? Episode 6 is now available to stream and gives us plenty to look forward to, so keep reading this article for our review of the same!

Stuck in the Basement

It is day 97, and Where’s Wanda? episode 6 picks up from where we left off previously, with Dedo and Carlotta Klatt stuck in the basement of the creepy house that they ventured into, even though it was the last thing Carlotta wanted to do.

Of course, Wanda’s narration is one of the best parts of the episodes, but now, confined in this close space, Carlotta and Dedo must face their truths.

We also catch a brief glimpse of Wanda’s initial days in Chris’ basement, and clearly, that was the last place she wanted to be, which sets up the suspense as to where Wanda’s location might be on day 97.

Where’s Wanda? episode 6 switches between Wanda being stuck in a basement, and Carlotta and Dedo being stuck in a basement, and how these situations resemble one another.

While Carlotta and Dedo have to face multiple problems in their relationships, Wanda has to come to terms with the kind of person she was in school, and Chris holds up the perfect mirror.

Chris and Wanda also end up bonding a little more than one would have expected before Wanda decides she wants to take the big bad guy down, aka Lukas, the reason she was here in this basement to begin with.

Dedo and Carlotta also get the chance to move from arguing to actually talking about what went wrong, and we realize that this Apple TV+ series pays particular attention to strong female characters, making it an exceptional watch.

This episode has several sweet, emotional, and romantic moments, which are very different from the themes and tones that we have witnessed so far.

As for day 97, Wanda was still in Chris’ basement, until Lukas showed up, but Chris managed to help Wanda escape, just in time. Albeit, was it good enough? On the other end, Dedo and Carlotta also manage to find their way out of the basement and start a better chapter of their life as a married couple.

Conclusion

Wanda and Chris might have managed to escape for now, but there’s no doubt that Lukas will be hot on their tail in no time, and this can’t possibly end well for them. What do you think about the series so far?
