After many failed attempts, they finally adopted a child. However, the duo faces many challenges in the same. Wolton is also the executive producer with Jim O’Hanlon and Josh Cole. Trying premiered on May 1st, 2020 on Apple TV+ while Trying Season 4 started on May 22nd, 2024. All the seasons had eight episodes in total.
How Did Trying Season 4 End?
The final episode of Trying Season 4 is called Scott of the Atlantic and it was released on July 3rd, 2024. Jason is suggested to be a social worker by Noah. With this, he will be able to help others going through the process of adoption.

Apple TV+ has not given a go-ahead to Trying Season 5. However, given that the fourth season ended on a confusing and incomplete note, there are chances for a follow-up season to happen. Esther Smith has said, in an interview, that she would be interested in doing Trying Season 5 since the finale had a cliffhanger.
Rafe Spall has also stated that he would love to return as Jason Ross. Chances are that Apple TV+ will commission another season given the strong response the show has been getting since the beginning of the first season.
What To Expect From It?
If Trying Season 5 is ordered, we can expect it to first address what actually happened with Scott as he was seen in the sea. He might actually be dead. But given the tone of the show, the chances of it happening are very few.

In Trying Season 5, maybe he will change his thoughts about it and will go for stability instead of flings.
Given his age and life situation, this might actually happen. Jason will actually get into social work next since he is really passionate about helping people who might go through the same grind.
