Apple TV+’s latest series, Dark Matter, starring Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Oakes Fegley, and Dayo Okeniyi has been packed with action and a whole lot of science-fiction so far, as it explores the concept of multiple universes after the lives of Jason 1 and Jason 2 are swapped because of a box, that turns into a corridor, which ultimately opens the door to different universes.
Undoubtedly, this series is a little complex, and four episodes in, there is far too much to unpack, but it only makes us more excited for what’s about to happen next in this series. So, keep reading this preview to catch a glimpse of what you can expect from Dark Matter Episode 5!
What Happened in Dark Matter Episode 4?
Dark Matter Episode 4 was truly one of a kind and the start of the multiverse, which had only previously been mentioned in the series.
In this latest episode, we actually get to witness Amanda and Jason 1 navigate through different universes in hopes of finding Jason 1’s home, or at least some place they can rest for a moment, but it is a lot harder than it might seem, especially considering how many possibilities there are.
While Jason 1 and Amanda struggle to stay alive in Dark Matter Episode 4, Jason 2 is busy quitting his job and making some changes in his life. He also gets in touch with Leighton from that universe and who later ends up becoming an investor, solving any money problems that Jason 2 and Daniela may have had. In fact, he also buys Charlie a car!
Jason 1 and Jason 2 are currently living two very different lives, but it might not be long before their paths clash, however, more of that will be explored in the coming episodes!
What Can You Expect From Dark Matter Episode 5?
Slowly and steadily, the narrative of Dark Matter is progressing, and eventually, the climax will consist of Jason 1 and Jason 2 facing each other, however, there’s still time for that considering we are only at Episode 5 of the series.
In the next episode, Amanda and Jason 1’s journey in the corridor will continue as they now have some hints as how to how they can navigate these particular doors and what lies behind them, and they might also come into contact with alternative versions of themselves.
Jason 1’s plot is definitely getting more interesting as the series progresses, however, Jason 2 has everyone a little confused with his new investor, Leighton. It will be interesting to see how Leighton helps Jason 2 in turning some wrongs into right when it comes to the box and the lives that he has changed.
