What Is Call the Midwife All About?

Heidi Thomas has created Call the Midwife and it is adapted from the namesake book by Jennifer Worth that was released in 2002. It was based on her own life as a midwife in London. The stepfather of Alison used to abuse her for years because of which this pregnancy happened.

The episode will have Miss Higgins (Georgie Glen) in the front as she will be dropping a major revelation about herself. It will involve a secret son she has had who was given to a foster caring family in India via adoption. The episode will also show that he passes away due to some issues in his condition. Before his death, he visits Higgins.
