Constellation is a television series in the psychological thriller genre. Peter Harness has created and written the series and has based it on a concept by Sean Jablonski. The series premiered in February 2024 on Apple TV+ and has met with positive responses from both critics and audiences.

What Is Constellation All About?

Constellation follows the story of an astronaut named Johanna Ericsson aka Jo (played by Swedish actress Noomi Rapace) who returns to Earth post a tragic accident that took place at the International Space Station. However, she realizes that there is something wrong with her life.

Jo also struggles to remember stuff as the line between real and not real keeps getting blurred. Apart from the science fiction aspect, the series also explores a beautiful relationship she has with her daughter.

The first episode premiered on February 21st, 2024 on Apple TV+. It will have a total of eight episodes and the final episode is slated to air on March 27th, 2024. Every episode has a runtime of around 50 to 58 minutes.

The sixth episode of Constellation season one was released on March 13th, 2024. It showcases that debris has hit the ISS in a different universe, which results in the death of Jo after she hits a cupola.

Paul hears the breathing sound of Jo who is around Soyuz 1 to fix it. Alice sees a vision of Jo right after she is informed about her death. Meanwhile, Paul is given the go-ahead by NASA to leave her dead body. Paul somehow manages to fix Soyuz but realizes that he is being watched by someone around the ISS.

He returns to earth but has a similar experience to Jo. He can’t find a balance between his memories and his reality. This also includes the fact that CAL that it was never made. While Paul and Alice are attending an event, they see that Jo is not dead in a separate universe.

He eventually meets Bud who is from a reality where Jo’s Apollo 18 didn’t end up in disaster and was successful. Bud ends up shooting Paul when the latter asks him about the realities. Towards the end, Alice witnesses Jo with Magnus in a cabin.

Is Constellation Season 2 Happening?

The makers have not officially announced Constellation Season 2. But we can expect Apple TV+ to announce it in the near future since the first season is still airing. So far, the response has been really good for the series.

People have been loving the sci-fi heavy story that has a blend of mystery and human relationships on the forefront. So if the overall show gets impressive viewership on the streaming platform, the makers might come up with Constellation Season 2.
