What Is The Diplomat All About?

Kate tries to convince Hal to perform a speech inside the Chatham House during their Paris stay. A member of the parliament (MP) of Tory witnesses the speech. Meanwhile, Kate finds out about Hal’s intention to connect Groove and Appiah. He reaches the conclusion that Hal wants to be the next secretary of state.
She comes on his way to make contact with Grove and also informs Hayford to do the same. The government of France gives the go-ahead to Kate to arrest Lenkov. However, she finds out that there is going to be a murder attempt on him led by the Britishers. Kate informs Dennison about the same, who is shocked to know as they all thought it would be an arrest.
She then connects the dots and realizes that Trowbridge, who had hired him, would be able to benefit if Lenkov is killed. Kate is told about an explosion inside the car of Hal, London, and Hayford and she is distraught after hearing it. In the end, Dolphin 3–6 receive no answer as they try to make contact.

On May 1st, 2023, just days after the first season dropped, the makers of The Diplomat announced that there would be a second season as well. The show’s creator Debora Cahn has said that she will be returning with a follow-up season as she loves telling long-form stories.
