The Christmas special, “The Church on Ruby Road,” will be enjoyed by viewers in the United States and abroad. Two new episodes will air at 7 p.m. ET. The premiere is available to UK viewers on BBC iPlayer on May 11 at midnight GMT.

Who Will Be In The Cast?

Known for his breakthrough performance in “Sex Education,” Ncuti Gatwa plays the primary role of the Fifteenth Doctor. Accompanied by Millie Gibson, who won praise for her performance in “The Drowning,” is Ruby Sunday. Rounding out the primary cast are Michelle Greenidge from “After Life,” Angela Wynter from “EastEnders,” and Anita Dobson from “EastEnders” also.

Jemma Redgrave (“Doctor Who,” “Holby City”), resuming her role as Kate Stewart, and Bonnie Langford (“Doctor Who,” “EastEnders”), playing Melanie “Mel” Bush, are among the guest stars. As Rose Noble, Yasmin Finney (“Call the Midwife”) makes a comeback. The Duchess is portrayed by Indira Varma (“Game of Thrones”), who promises terror.

Coming aboard as politician Roger ap Gwilliam is Aneurin Barnard (“Dunkirk”). “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Jinkx Monsoon plays a recurrent foe. In a Regency-themed episode, Jonathan Groff (“Mindhunter,” “Frozen”) makes a cameo appearance. Morris is portrayed by Lenny Rush (“The A-List”) as being connected to the doctor’s “greatest nightmare.”
