Franklin focuses on Benjamin Franklin (played by Michael Douglas), who is one of the founding fathers of the USA, as he makes efforts to France which was headed by Louis XVI. For this, he decides to stay in that country for around 8 years leading up to the Revolutionary War.
Douglas is also an executive producer on Franklin with Korder, Ellis, Patten, Richard Plepler, Mark Mostyn and Tony Krantz. The series has been airing since April 12th, 2024.
What Happened In The Previous Episode?
Franklin Episode 6 is called Beauty and Folly and it was helmed by Tim Van Patten with a script from Howard Korder and Kirk Ellis. It was released on May 3rd, 2024, and showcased Franklin taking a stand and rejecting the proposal given by John Adams (played by Eddie Marsan).

Franklin Episode 7 is also written by the same team involving Ellis and Korder. It is titled Begin by Creeping and will showcase some major plot changes and developments. It will showcase the aftermath of the major win that took place at the Yorktowns.
The episode will showcase some cracks that are appearing in the bonding of the French and the American people. They are planning to oust each other by any means.
Meanwhile, Franklin is going to continue his efforts to get more help from King Louis to have America in a safe position during the war. Franklin Episode 7 is the semi-final episode of this miniseries so it will do a much-needed buildup for the final episode.
