Jeremy Allen White Wins Golden Globe for ‘The Bear’ Despite Being Absent
The Bear created by Christopher Storer has been a game-changer for Jeremy Allen White’s career. White has previously appeared in titles like Shameless, The Iron Claw, and After Everything, but he hasn’t nearly garnered as much praise and attention from any titles when compared to The Bear, and rightfully so.
White’s standout performance has been a crucial element of The Bear’s success, complemented by exceptional writing, a talented supporting cast, and outstanding direction that captivated audiences.
As he accepts another award for his portrayal of Chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, White’s impressive run of accolades continues to solidify his reputation as a talented actor.
Jeremy White’s Third Consecutive Win
The coveted category Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy had some of the best actors including Adam Brody for Nobody Wants This, Jason Segel for Shrinking, Martin Short for Only Murders in the Building, Steve Martin for Only Murders in the Building, Ted Danson for A Man on the Inside, and Jeremy Allen White for The Bear.
Most actors in this category have been in the entertainment industry for longer than White with some of the most impressive filmographies, but White’s role in The Bear truly stands out and is loved dearly by critics and fans from all across the world.
This isn’t White’s first win as he has previously won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards.

As there was plenty of cheer and applause for White during the awards, he wasn’t present at the ceremony. No explanation was given by White or his representative for his absence, however, we do know he’s currently in the middle of his filming schedule, which could be why he wasn’t present at the Golden Globe Awards.
Did The Bear Win?
While Jeremy Allen White continued to make The Bear family proud, sadly, when it came to the Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy category at the Golden Globe Awards, The Bear didn’t win.
The nominees were Abbott Elementary, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, The Bear, Hacks, and The Gentlemen. The winner in this category was Hacks!
