Eugene Levy Becomes a Proper Tourist in Italy

When it comes to The Reluctant Traveler as a series, that mostly involves Eugene Levy stepping out of his comfort zone and trying new things. This would make one believe that he would have taken it up a notch after the health resort episode in Germany, however, The Reluctant Traveler Season 2 Episode 5 was a little more tame compared to it, but a fun watch nonetheless, as Levy takes on the role of a tourist, much like several others in Florence, which was his first stop.

Here, Levy was accompanied by a guide who taught him some of the popular hand gestures used in the country, but Levy was more than careful with them, which added to that unintentional humor that accompanies him more often than not.

There was plenty of art, culture and garbage trucks in Florence, and Levy also had a caricature of him made, which prompted him to smile more of him. There was plenty of sightseeing, and it is safe to say that The Reluctant Traveler Season 2 Episode 5 was the most touristy episode so far.

After Florence, Levy made his way to Tuscany, which provided an environment more suitable for him, and also plenty of wine. In the second half of the episode, Levy did not feel like a tourist, and despite the lush surroundings and comforting food, Levy did learn to harvest some wine, but appaeared to enjoy most of the process.

This part was definitely the funniest moment of The Reluctant Traveler Season 2 Episode 5, and it is always great to see Levy blend in with the locals, and learn more about their culture.

The episode in Germany had truly set the bar really high, and while The Reluctant Traveler Season 2 Episode 5 didn’t live up to that mark, it was an episode that Eugene Levy enjoyed and almost served as a little break before his next adventure, which will be all the way In Greece.
