Ever since the first season concluded, all the people who enjoyed it have read about Deliver Me Season 2. There are questions about whether it will happen or if the follow-up season has been canceled. Continue reading and you will find out.

What Happened In The Last Episode of Deliver Me?

Deliver Me is adapted from a namesake book penned by Malin Persson Giolito. It tells the story of Bilal Ali aka Billy (played by Yasir Hassan) and Dogge (Olle Strand) who are in their teenage years. The two get hired by a gang in the local area.

One of them is shot and the crime is committed by a 14-year-old. This leads Farid (Ardalan Esmaili) who is a detective to look into this case and narrows on a person named Mehdi Bah (played by Solomon Njie). He is known for hiring underaged kids for his gang operations in the region. Anna Zackrisson has directed the series while Amanda Högberg and Alex Haridi are the writers.

The final episode is titled You Can’t Protect Me and it reveals the reason why Bilal left the gang and what led to Dogge killing him. Since Bilal wanted to leave, Dogge was feeling lonely and he didn’t want him to leave. So he waits for the moment they are assigned a killing and he shoots Bilal. On all this, Mehdi becomes the main culprit and he is sentenced for it.

Will There Be Another Season?

There will not be Deliver Me Season 2 since it was made as a miniseries with limited episodes. The series covers almost the entirety of the book it’s based on. The ending of the series also has a conclusive yet open vibe to it. But overall, Deliver Me has come to an end.

So far, the makers or Netflix has not confirmed whether a second season is in the works or not.

What To Expect From It?

Even though the series has ended and it was made as a miniseries, the series has a sort of an open ending. While Mehdi’s fate is sealed in the court, there will be someone to lead the gang. The family of Bilal, except his father, is also seen leaving Stockholm.

If a second season happens, the story of his family can be explored. We can also see someone else running the gang and hiring more kids for illegal work. The makers can opt for another book by Malin Persson Giolito that is in the same genre.

Who Will Be In The Cast?

Since the character of Bilal died in the first season, we can’t expect him to return in the second one. This can change if he is shown via flashback sequences. The character of Dogge (Olle Strand) remains alive and is saved from the blame for Bilal’s death. He is an interesting character and so there are chances of him reappearing in a potential Deliver Me Season 2.

Apart from him, Jill (Ane Dahl Torp) and Teo (Henrik Norlén) who are the parents of Dogge, might also return for the follow-up season. Meanwhile, Farid’s fate is unsure since he can be replaced in the future. The second season will also feature many new actors essaying different characters. Bilal can also show up through flashback sequences since he remains a pivotal character and others might remember him in any episode.

Conclusion

Deliver Me came as a surprise show from Sweden and rocked everyone. This Netflix series was tight and really engaging, doesn’t give a second for the audience to get bored. The gripping show gives many dillema to its characters who are dealing with a crime performed by a very young child. Through them, the makers raise some really hard and uncomfortable queries about our society. This is why fans want to see Deliver Me Season 2.
